Coach Daryll — Founder & Head Coach, Sprints

Coach Daryll leads the vision, curriculum, and performance standards for Lone Star TFC. With a 9-year background in speed development, strength training, and long‑term athletic progression, he has built a unified system that supports Youth, High School, and adult athletes.

 Specialties:

  • Strength & power training
  • Movement quality & durability
  • Athlete confidence and long‑term development

Coaching Philosophy:
Every athlete deserves clear instruction, measurable progress, and a supportive environment. Coach Daryll focuses on teaching fundamentals first, then layering in advanced skills as athletes grow in readiness and confidence. 

Coach LynnLi — Assistant Coach, Throws & Business Manager

2× Texas State Championship Qualifier — Shot Put & Discus

2 years of experience coaching shot put

Coach LynnLi brings competitive experience, technical knowledge, and strong leadership to Lone Star TFC. As a two‑time Texas state championship qualifier in the throws, she understands the discipline, technique, and confidence required to excel in power events. At Baylor University, she earned her business degree while serving as the Chairperson of Intramural Sports, demonstrating her ability to lead, organize, and support athletic communities.

In addition to coaching, she serves as the Business Manager for Lone Star TFC, supporting families, managing operations, and ensuring a smooth, professional experience for all athletes.

  • Competition preparation & confidence building

Coaching Style:
Supportive, patient, and detail‑oriented. Coach LynnLi focuses on safe, progressive skill development while helping athletes build belief in their abilities 

Coach Thomas — Assistant Coach, Distance

University of Houston — 1500m & Cross Country

Coach Thomas leads our middle‑distance and endurance development for Lone Star TFC. As a former 1500m and cross‑country athlete at the University of Houston, he brings a deep understanding of pacing, race strategy, and aerobic development.

Specialties:

  • 800m race modeling & pacing
  • 1500m/1600m strategy & aerobic development
  • Tempo, threshold, and speed‑endurance training
  • Mental toughness & race confidence

Coaching Style:
Calm, analytical, and encouraging. Coach Thomas helps athletes understand why each workout matters, building smart, confident racers who know how to compete when it counts.

Coach Roberto — Assistant Coach, Hurdles & 4×400m Relay

University of Texas El Paso — 400m & 400m Hurdles

Coach Roberto leads our hurdles program and sprint‑relay development. As a former 400m hurdler at UTEP, he brings technical precision, rhythm mastery, and a passion for helping athletes unlock their speed through efficient mechanics.

Specialties:

  • 100m/110m hurdles technique
  • 300m/400m hurdles rhythm & stride patterning
  • 4×400m relay preparation
  • Sprint mechanics & power application
  • Confidence building for technical events

Coaching Style:
Technical, energetic, and highly detail‑oriented. Coach Roberto breaks down complex movements into simple, repeatable steps that help athletes feel safe, confident, and fast. 

Coach Venessa — Assistant Coach, Long and Triple Jump

 Coach Venessa Wallace leads our Long and Triple Jump development for Lone Star TFC. Coach Wallace has a Master's degree in Kinesiology and Human Performance as well as a background in Strength and Conditioning. She brings years of experience as a coach who has produced many District Champions. 

Specialties:

  •  Technical development 
  •  Mechanics in sprint and technique
  •  Explosive power and vertical lift
  •  Takeoff and board accuracy 

Coaching Style: 

Coach Wallace is dedicated in starting an athlete with proper form and the understanding of a strong foundation. She pushes her athletes to strive for excellence but also be able to know their own mechanical form and how to correct missteps. She wants her athletes to improve season by season no matter how big or small, no matter the outcome. 

Coach Cameron — Assistant Coach, Sprints & 4×100m Relay

  Grambling State University - 110m & 400m Hurdles

 New Mexico High School State Champion — 110 Meter Hurdles 

Coach Cam leads our 6U-12U sprints and sprint‑relay development. As a former 110m & 400m hurdler at Grambling State University, he brings experience in short & long speed development and relay exchanges.  

Specialties:

  • Sprints: Short & Long  
  • Sprint mechanics & power application
  • 4×100m relay exchanges & acceleration zones
  • Block starts  

Coaching Style: 

Fostering a positive, competitive environment that pushes athletes to maximize their potential through consistency, accountability, and hard work. He is dedicated and motivated with a strong passion for developing student-athletes both on and off the track.
