Athletic Health & Performance

The Coaches Who Run the System

Lone Star TFC's coaching staff are professional practitioners — certified, experienced, and fully invested in every athlete they develop. These are the people on the floor, in the sessions, and in the details every single day.

Meet the Staff

Practitioners. Not Participants.

Every coach on the Lone Star TFC staff operates the Athletic Health & Performance system as a trained professional — not a volunteer, not a helper, not a parent who played sports. They are certified practitioners who understand the science, apply the methodology, and take personal ownership of every athlete's development.

Progressive Academy

Event-Specialist Coaches

Lone Star TFC's Progressive Academy is staffed by certified event-specialist coaches across Sprints, Hurdles, Jumps, Throws, and Distance. Each discipline is coached by a practitioner with direct competitive and coaching experience in that event group — not a generalist filling a role.

Built for Every Athlete. Designed for the Long Game.

AHP is designed for athletes at every stage of development — not just the ones who are already fast.

Multi-Sport Athletes

Athletes who play football, basketball, soccer, or baseball benefit from the same speed, strength, and movement foundation that track athletes build. We develop the qualities that transfer across every sport.

Track & Field Athletes

Athletes preparing for championship seasons — TAAF, AAU, USATF, and beyond — train under a periodized system built around the competition calendar and long-term development benchmarks.

Athletes Returning from Injury

Athletes returning from therapy or managing chronic issues train under a modified system that rebuilds movement quality, restores confidence, and reduces re-injury risk.

College-Bound & NIL Athletes

Athletes pursuing college recruitment or NIL pathways receive performance profiling, event-specific development, and the competitive results that put them on the radar of college programs.

A Coach Who Builds Athletes the Right Way

Parents trust Lone Star TFC because Coach Daryll designs structured, evidence-based training — and communicates every step of it clearly.

Structured & Evidence-Based

Every training block is designed with a purpose. No random drills. No filler work. Every session targets the qualities that produce measurable athletic improvement.

Professional Progress Tracking

Athletes are assessed at the start of every block and re-tested at the end. Parents and athletes always know where they stand and what comes next.

Confidence, Discipline & Readiness

The program builds more than physical qualities. Athletes leave with the competitive mindset, discipline, and self-awareness that high-performance environments demand.

Safe, High-Standard Environment

Coach Daryll understands how to balance school sports, club sports, and off-season development — and how to protect athletes from overtraining, burnout, and unnecessary risk.

Daryll Joseph

Founder & Head Coach — Lone Star TFC

  • NCSF Certified Strength Coach (CSC)
  • USTFCCCA Speed Specialist
  • Architect — Athletic Health & Performance
  • Brand Ambassador & Contributor — International Youth Conditioning Association

Coach Daryll Joseph didn't hire coaches and hand them a manual. He spent 8 years on the floor — coaching athletes, testing methods, attending clinics, and building the system from the ground up. When the system was proven, he brought in practitioners he trusted to run it. His role now is to lead the program, protect the methodology, and make sure every coach on the staff has what they need to be exceptional.

"We are not trying to produce the best 12-year-old in the country. We are trying to produce an athlete who arrives at their high-performance window ON TIME & FULLY LOADED — physically, technically, psychologically, and competitively."

"My job is to build coaches who are better on the floor than I am — and then get out of their way. The athletes deserve that."

Performance Technology

We Measure What Matters

Lone Star TFC uses professional-grade performance technology to collect objective data on every athlete — the same tools used by college and professional programs. Guesswork is not a coaching methodology.

OVR Performance — Sprint Testing
Speed & Performance Measurement

Laser-accurate sprint timing and force measurement. Every athlete's 30m and 60m sprint times are captured with OVR Performance equipment — not a stopwatch. Objective data drives placement, programming, and progress tracking.

OVR Performance — Jump Testing
Explosive Power Measurement

Vertical jump and broad jump data collected with OVR Performance jump measurement tools. Power output is tracked at the start and end of every block so athletes and parents can see exactly how much their explosiveness has improved.

OVR Performance — Velocity
Strength Measurement

Strength benchmarks captured with OVR Performance lift testing. Force production data informs programming decisions and tracks strength development across the 8-week block.

VisualEyes — Video Analysis
Biomechanical Analysis

Sprint mechanics, jump technique, and movement patterns are recorded and analyzed using VisualEyes. Frame-by-frame video review allows Coach Daryll to identify technical inefficiencies that are invisible at full speed — and communicate them clearly to athletes and parents.

OVR Performance data and VisualEyes video analysis are integrated into every testing window — Week 1 baseline, Week 4 mid-block check, and Week 8 final testing. Athletes leave every block with objective numbers and video evidence of their improvement.

What Makes the Athletic Health & Performance system Different

Diagnosis First

Every athlete is assessed before the first session. Sprint data, jump data, movement patterns — we identify the limiting factor before we prescribe a single drill.

Small Groups by Design

A 1:8 coach-to-athlete ratio is not an accident — it's a requirement. Every rep gets eyes on it. Technique is corrected in real time, not after the fact.

Certified & Current

Athletic Health & Performance is coached by coaches hold active certifications in strength & conditioning and speed development. The methodology is grounded in current research, not tradition.

Transparent Communication

Parents and athletes understand the plan. After every block, we re-test, explain what we saw, and communicate what comes next. No black box.

Credentials & Certifications

Lone Star TFC coaching staff hold certifications from the National Council on Strength & Fitness (NCSF) and the United States Track & Field and Cross-Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) — the two most respected credentialing bodies in strength & conditioning and track & field coaching.

Interdisciplinary Support Network

Athlete development doesn't happen in isolation. Coach Daryll maintains working relationships with sports medicine professionals, physical therapists, and sports performance specialists in the Montgomery County area. When an athlete's needs extend beyond the weight room or track — injury recovery, nutritional guidance, or sport-specific skill development — we connect families with the right professionals rather than pretending one coach can do everything.

Athletes returning from physical therapy are transitioned back into training through a coordinated protocol that respects the therapist's clearance criteria and rebuilds load progressively.
